Basic Fibre Optics Assessment
Basic Fibre Certification is for people working in the installation, commissioning, fault finding and operation Fibre Optic equipment. This certification is suitable for field technicians, Network Operations Centre (NOC) staff, Network Engineers, Electronic Techs (ETs), IT personnel, Military and general VSAT users.
The assessment covers all aspects of satellite theory covered in the Basic Fibre Optic Training Course. Subjects contained in the assessment are basic fibre theory, cable types, installation, fault finding and standards you should know to be a successful field installation technician.
BASIC FIBRE OPTICS CERTIFICATION
After passing the Basic Fibre Optics exam you will receive a certificate that shows you have the knowledge, skills and installation standards required to be a Fibre Optic technician.
You will receive your Certified course certificate after you have passed the assessment and paid the fee, that you can download and save from your user account.
This assessment consists of 30 questions to be answered in 60 minutes. The questions are a combination of multiple choice (single answer and multiple answer), arranging in to the correct order, fill in the blank and true or false statements.
A score over 80% to needed to pass, with a maximum of 3 attempts for the certification.
If you do not pass the assessment on your 3rd attempt then you will have to re-register.
